2 · What is RATIO

RATIO is a nutrition and fueling strategy planning tool for cyclists and endurance athletes: it translates your physiological metrics (weight, FTP, sweat rate, digestive tolerance) and route or workout demands into an hourly hydration, carbohydrate, and sodium plan. Application access is handled exclusively through secure OAuth authentication providers (Google and Strava) — RATIO never stores passwords directly.

3 · Third-party data we process

• GoogleIdentifying email and public name for session and account management.
• StravaAthlete ID, baseline weight (if not manually configured by the user), and selected routes/activities for calculating energy expenditure and power demands.
• Intervals.icuRead-only access to planned structured workouts (duration, intervals, power zones, TSS) for pre-ride fueling plan calibration. TrainingPeaks integration is in development and does not collect any data yet.

Note: All connections to third-party services are strictly read-only. RATIO never posts, modifies, or deletes data in your external accounts.

4 · Data you provide directly

In addition to the above, you manually provide your FTP, sweat rate, metabolic phenotype, digestive adaptation level, and bottle configuration in your Physiological Profile — data that resides exclusively in this app and which only you can view or modify.

5 · Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract:Processing your profile and training data is necessary to provide you with personalized fueling plans and route analysis.
• Consent:By connecting third-party platforms (Strava, Google, Intervals.icu) and saving your physiological parameters, you explicitly consent to the processing of those data for the stated purposes.

6 · How we use this data

Exclusively to calculate your personalized fueling and hydration recommendations — carbohydrate grams per hour, sodium, custom bottle mix recipes, and post-ride recovery balance. We never use your data for advertising, commercial profiling, or any purpose outside of this core function.

7 · Data storage and security

Your data is securely stored in Supabase (our database provider, hosted within EU-compliant infrastructure regions), protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring each athlete can only read or modify their own data.

7.1 · International data transfers

Your information collected through RATIO is hosted and stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. Because we operate globally, your data may be processed in servers located outside your country of residence (including the United States or European Union). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable global privacy standards.

7.2 · Third-party data retention

Raw data retrieved from Strava is cached transiently for a maximum of 7 days and is never stored in a persistent index. Your proprietary RATIO data (physiological profile, fueling logs) is retained for as long as your account remains active, and permanently deleted within 30 days of a deletion request or account closure, in accordance with our third-party platform obligations.

8 · Who we share your data with

With no one. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or integrated platform information with third parties under any circumstances.

9 · Your data protection rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right of access:You can view all your stored metrics directly in your profile dashboard.
• Right to rectification:You can modify or correct your weight, FTP, and preferences at any time.
• Right to erasure (right to be forgotten):You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. Once your deletion request is processed, we will make reasonable efforts to send you written confirmation to your registered email that the deletion has been completed, where a reachable contact email is available.
• Right to data portability:You can export or request your structured profile data.
• Right to withdraw consent:You can disconnect any linked account at any time from your Profile settings or by revoking access directly in your Google, Strava, or Intervals.icu security settings.

To exercise any of these rights or request permanent deletion, contact us at support@ratiovelo.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority (such as the AEPD in Spain).
